Work around for Micrografx Instant 3D

Work around for Instant 3D (if it does not work properly with save as or open)

I found that someone was actually able to use instant 3d on their Windows 7 64-bit pc. But your not one of those people:

You will need at least one project file (if you do not have one you can download a project file attached in this post)  all you need to do is make copies of that project and make a new file name for it for every time you want to do a new file. Of course to edit the file all you need to do is double click on it to open it. You can still save just not use the save as

Exporting as bmp (or whatever) for desktop wallpaper

You will need another graphics program possibly even ms paint will do. After you have finish Simply copy and paste the graphics from the program by pressing ctrl+C and then ctrl+V (or paste) in to your favourite graphics program save the file using the graphics program.

If you have Simply 3d that will work similar to Micrografx instant 3d and should be more compatible with newer operating systems.

This isn't the perfect workaround but at least you can edit and create files in this way

Sometimes if a program behaves incorrectly and you set the compatibility to windows xp sp3 (or whatever setting makes it work right) then you may be able to first let it run in that mode then remove the compatibility setting it will probably work properly again without using that setting

If you have Micrografx Simply 3D that should work better with newer operating systems than instant 3D, simply 3d is the newer version of instant 3D
