The Amount of fonts affect Micrografx Draw
« on: June 07, 2014, 03:41:00 pm »
If you have installed Micrografx Draw sometimes, it will crash for no reason this often because of the amount of fonts installed by other software especially certain versions of Photoshop an example shown in this video is when using a program called fontfrenzy to reduce the amount fonts to system fonts and then program worked properly again.

This test was done on the 32-bit version of Windows 7 so this is more of a general thing in any newer operating system

Note: Most new PC's use the 64-bit version of Windows because the manufacturers drivers work better on that version, also the 32-bit version only allows up 3.5GB's of ram to be used most new PC's use 4GB or more of ram. However if your PC is running the 32-bit version of Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 then you wont need to purchase the guide

The video below applies to both the 32 and 64 bit versions of Windows 7, 8 and 8.1

The same can happen also on Windows XP:

Note: you have to be careful using this program because when i tried it on windows 8 it actually took away the system fonts of the operating system
on windows 7 it took away the micrografx draw fonts which is why towards the end of the video the program usings different fonts for when setting up the page to work on

Another solution is if you have photoshop installed you will have to run it first then while leaving PS running run Micrografx Draw
