This tip also works on Windows 8/8.1 if you find Micrografx Draw crashes when selecting a preset project or some other kind of crash and its not to do with fonts (see this topic (http://windowsdraw.createaforum.com/support/the-amount-of-fonts-affect-micrografx-draw/) for information on fonts) you can right click on the draw.exe file and set compatibility to Windows XP SP3 the next time you open it under compatibility mode it will run properly.

The interesting part is even when you have switched off compatibility mode Draw 6 still seems to appear to keep that setting and works correctly every time.
